RIDG Co-founder and Commercial Director, Mike Hay, is re-elected onto the board of Scottish Renewables
RIDG Co-founder and Commercial Director, Mike Hay, has been re-elected by members onto the board of the national trade association, Scottish Renewables, for a full three-year term following a competitive election process.
Mike has been an active board member over the past year, working closely with the senior team and members on strategies to increase the associations role in the growth of the Scottish offshore wind supply chain. He has also advocated a strong stance on the energy transition, to ensure the renewables industry leads this discussion rather than handing its voice and influence to another sector.
Commenting on his appointment, Mike said:
I’m delighted that Scottish Renewables members have put their trust in me to continue the work on the offshore wind supply chain and energy transition that’s been started at board level over the past year.”
“In return I will continue to engage proactively with members, to represent their interests at board level and to push only what is best for both our association and the offshore wind industry in Scotland as a whole.”
RIDG recently announced their intention to enter the ScotWind leasing process and to use their ‘alignment model’ to reduce project risk and sharpen Scottish supply chain competitiveness.
