A highly experienced advisory consultant, Alistair provides informed trusted and independent input to organisations wishing to demonstrate diligent risk management and environmental performance to investors and other stakeholders. He has over 25 years’ experience advising energy projects, both on-and off-shore, which includes leadership of consultancy and R&D centres of excellence, upstream oil and gas, renewable energy and marine cables.
Highly credible with stakeholders at all levels, he is acknowledged for his ability to provide insightful analysis of complex issues – particularly around project and programme risk, decision support, environmental performance and leadership services. This includes advising major asset-based projects and organisations who need to demonstrate exemplary governance of project, environmental and social issues.
Alistair helps teams balance complex requirements and bring focus to their processes, establish effective frameworks and demonstrate that decisions are informed and assured. This is particularly valuable when objectives are affected by challenging environments, ensuring that planning is properly aligned with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Alistair is a Chartered Engineer with a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Engineering, both from the University of Bristol. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a Member of the Association of Project Management.
