Liz has almost 30 years’ experience of delivering consenting and project development support and has been instrumental in securing project approvals in an ever-changing legislative landscape for offshore and coastal major capital projects. She is widely regarded as an expert in the field of offshore renewables.
Liz is frequently employed by major developers to advise on strategic as well as operational matters and her effective, direct and practical approach to project development and consenting is widely recognised. She has experience in undertaking formal Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Habitats Regulations Appraisal (HRA) for a range of clients and development types with particular focus on EIAs for offshore and onshore oil and gas development and offshore renewables developments.
Liz has been technical author of a number of EIA and HRA guides and consenting manuals for industry and government organisations including BP, BP Alternative Energy, the European Marine Energy Centre and the Scottish Government/Marine Scotland and was instrumental in obtaining consent for the world’s first floating wind park (Hywind).
Liz is a director of Xodus Group and spearheads the company’s environmental work in the low carbon sector.
